Born a first child in a very poor household, KGM had no choice but to mature faster at a very tender age. His entrepreneurial skills dates as far back as more than two and half decades ago during his primary education. He started by selling sweets at school and earned himself a mockery name of "Rra-di-sweets" from his customers and peers alike.

 

He continued his business interest at secondary adding photography to selling sweets after which he earned another nick name of "Rra-Dinepe" once gaint from his customers and peers alike. Instead of tertiary education, after matric KGM opted to continue with his business interests, a risky decision then, but the one decision he fully appreciates and is grateful for today.

 

After saving more than R150k before tertiary, KGM went straight into formal and professional business. It all started in the food industry, and then property, travel, tour, hospitality, manufacturing, Information and Technology as well as the service industry. It's been a very long and winding but very interesting road for KGM. He has gone from advent poverty to richness and wealth; fell from grace and rose again twice in his business career, the experience that he says he cherishes for life.

Today KGM has a wide range of business interests globally with active involvement and specific focus on the KGM Family Holdings, a holding company to all his business interests and philanthropic work. Having gone down and out twice and somehow managing to get back on his feet to where he is today, KGM fully appreciates every obstacle good or bad along his life journey.

 

KGM is Passionate about helping the helpless and developing humanity through business. More rewarding for him today is his job which he says it's a "calling more than a job" which he does through KGM Connect, Honest and True South Africa, the KGM African Academy and the KGM Family Holdings Projects. His dream, wish and vision is to see his legacy carried forward beyond his life.

 

KGM is a combination of a very religious, spiritual, cultural and traditional human being.  To him all starts with GOD, then him and then the rest. Whilst many choose to concentrate on personal enrichment and wealth of this world, KGM calls himself a Manager of God's Wealth. All he says he lives for these days is using business to empower and develop humanity especially the poor and hungry...!
